From the moderation floor to Channel Manager
The problem.
The official Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Discord, at around 5,000 members, had a mass-mention spam problem bad enough to make the server hard to use.
What I did.
I joined as a moderator and developer and shut the spam down in my first week, by redesigning the server permissions and building a verification system. I was promoted to Channel Manager and recruited and led a moderation team of more than thirty people with coverage across time zones.
The constraint.
This was a flagship community for one of the largest mobile titles in the world. The fixes had to hold at that scale and keep holding as the community grew.
The outcome.
The spam problem was eliminated in the first week and the server moved onto a stable footing with a real moderation structure behind it, which I led for the rest of my tenure.
